Product information for Teva Ibuxin: Application of Teva Ibuxin: Ibuprofen belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). These medicines provide relief from the symptoms because they change the body's response to pain and fever.This medicine is used in adults and adolescents with a body weight of 40 kg or more (12 years and older) for the short-term treatment of the following complaints:- moderate to average pain, such as headache, menstrual pain, and toothache- fever and pain associated with a cold.The liquid capsules contain ibuprofen in liquid form. A regular ibuprofen tablet reaches its peak effect after 90 minutes, while a liquid capsule does so after approximately 30 minutes.Composition of Teva Ibuxin: Each capsule contains:Ibuprofen 400 mgIngredients of Teva Ibuxin: Ibuprofen, capsule filling: macrogol 600 (E1521), potassium hydroxide (E525), purified water, allura red (E129), capsule shell: gelatin, liquid sorbitol (E420), purified water.Ibuxin contains allura red (E129), which can cause allergic reactions.Use of Teva Ibuxin: Take 1 capsule (400 mg ibuprofen) with water, then 1 capsule (400 mg ibuprofen) every 6 hours if necessary.Do not take more than 3 capsules (1200 mg ibuprofen) in a 24-hour period.Do not exceed the recommended daily dose unless otherwise advised by a healthcare professional.This medicine is not suitable for adolescents with a body weight under 40 kg or children under 12 years of age.Do not use with:- You are allergic to one of the substances in this medicine. You can find these substances in section 6 of the package leaflet.- You have ever experienced shortness of breath, asthma, runny nose, swelling, or hives after using acetylsalicylic acid or other similar painkillers (NSAIDs).- You currently have an ulcer, a hole, or bleeding of the stomach or duodenum, or you have had this at least twice before.- You have a history of gastrointestinal bleeding or a hole in the stomach or intestine with previous use of NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs).- You suffer from an unexplained blood production disorder.- You suffer from severe kidney, liver, or heart failure.- You are severely dehydrated (due to vomiting, diarrhea, or insufficient fluid intake).- You are in the last three months of pregnancy (see section 2 'Pregnancy, breastfeeding and fertility').- You have a brain hemorrhage (cerebrovascular hemorrhage) or another active hemorrhage.- You suffer from bleeding and clotting disorders.
